The Driver's responsibilities include assisting with truck loading and unloading, safe delivery of products to customer locations, maintaining delivery paperwork and proper driving records while being a positive addition to the company. To be successful in this position, you should be able to resolve basic mechanical issues, use the GPS and Electronic logging devices, read, maintain and deliver appropriate paperwork and coordinate with the office to resolve any unforeseen circumstances. The ideal candidate must enjoy meeting people and be familiar with the area nuances such as roadblocks and revisions in traffic patterns. The Delivery Driver must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, get on and off the truck multiple times in a day, bend and twist as necessary. Responsibilities Follow DOT regulations and Safety Procedures Perform daily truck inspections before leaving the yard Load, Unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery truck Use route navigation apps and follow the schedule to deliver products to customers on time. Interact with customers in a professional manner and ask for feedback on provided service Collect signatures on appropriate paperwork and collect payments where applicable Create, Maintain and complete daily electronic route and shipment logsDriver Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements Valid Driver's License Minimum of 10 years of Driving Experience and a minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience Should be able to drive in the rain and slight snow Good driving record with no traffic violations High school diploma Familiarity with GPS devices and mapping applications Ability to operate forklifts is desirable Good communication, time management, and people management skills Ability to work well independently Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, climbing up and off the truck multiple times in a day, ability to bend and twist
