Duties Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks, to deliver goods along designated routes while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load, unload, and secure merchandise using safe lifting practices, ensuring products are transported without damage. Build rapport with customers through friendly communication, addressing inquiries and providing excellent service during deliveries. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths, maintaining accurate delivery schedules, and keeping detailed logs. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Conduct merchandising activities at retail stores to ensure product displays are well-organized and visually appealing. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to guarantee safety and compliance with transportation standards. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record, demonstrating expertise in commercial truck driving. Proven experience in retail store environments or customer relationship building is highly desirable. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, route coordination, and team collaboration. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices to ensure compliance on every trip. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy in documentation. Prior experience in automobile transportation or merchandising is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
