What a Typical Day Looks Like 1.

Saltwater Fishing Excursions The Hunt:

You'll plan and execute targeted charters for Halibut, Salmon (King and Coho), Rockfish, and Lingcod, reading local currents, structures, and bait patterns.

Coaching & Gear:

From rigging downriggers and complex trolling spreads to baiting heavy bottom-fishing rigs, you'll manage it all. More importantly, you'll provide patient, enthusiastic coaching to guests who may be holding a rod for the very first time.

Catch Care:

We pride ourselves on the quality of our fish. You'll oversee immediate bleeding, icing, and preparation so our guests go home with premium, beautiful fillets. 2.

Land & River Guiding Beach Landings:

You'll need the confidence and skill to nose the North River right onto remote shorelines, carefully managing the tides, surf, and rocky bottoms to let guests step ashore.

Freshwater & Beach Escorts:

You'll lead guests on foot along tidal flats and pristine river systems for freshwater fly/spin fishing or wilderness hikes.

Bear Safety:

Safety on land is paramount. You will be the ultimate protector in high-density brown bear territory, carrying required deterrents (bear spray/firearms), maintaining strict situational awareness, and enforcing safe distances. 3.

Eco-Tours & Custom Adventures Whale Watching:

You'll find and ethically observe marine mammals (Humpback whales, Orcas, Sea Otters, and Sea Lions), always respecting the wildlife and following Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) rules.

The Perfect Shot:

You'll maneuver and hold the vessel at optimal angles against wind and current, giving amateur and professional photographers stable, unobstructed views of wildlife and towering glaciers.

Hot Springs Runs:

You'll navigate tricky bays and anchoring setups to bring guests to remote, coastal hot springs for a truly magical Alaskan soak.

Hospitality & The Family Experience Family-First Hosting:
