About Us:
We are a small, family-owned charter business in Lantana, FL, offering fishing and sightseeing charters in the beautiful waters of South Florida. We take pride in providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our clients. We are seeking a professional and experienced captain with a passion for fishing to join our dedicated team and help ensure our guests have a safe, enjoyable time on the water.
Position Overview:
As the Captain of our charter boat, you will be responsible for navigating the vessel, managing daily operations, and ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests. We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and experienced Captain who enjoys working with people and has a passion for the boating industry. This position offers a great work-life balance in a laid-back yet dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a 100-ton boat, ensuring smooth navigation and adherence to all maritime regulations Ensure passenger safety by maintaining a secure and clean boat and conducting safety briefings Oversee daily operations, including preparing the boat for departure, managing fuel, and performing basic maintenance Provide an exceptional guest experience, engaging with passengers and assisting with fishing, sightseeing, and other activities as needed Maintain a professional, friendly, and positive demeanor at all times Monitor weather and sea conditions to adjust plans as needed and ensure safe operations Assist with trip planning, including scheduling charters and communicating with guests
Requirements:
Must have a USCG 100-ton Captain's License (or higher) required Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Captain or in a similar role Strong knowledge of boating operations, navigation, and safety procedures Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work well with a small team and engage with diverse groups of guests Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible, with availability to work weekends and holidays CPR/First Aid certification is required. Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check Have saltwater fishing knowledge, be able to educate guests on fish species, and filet them.

Trip pay per charter, based on the length of the trip and experience
