Fire Chief - Elk River

The City of Elk River is seeking an accomplished leader and organizational manager with a strong passion to save lives and protect residents to serve as our next Fire Chief. This position leads a great team of career and on-call firefighters, serves as the City's Emergency Management Director, and oversees the employee safety and training program. The Fire Chief is responsible for the overall operation of the department, including budgeting and capital planning, staffing and resource management, and oversight of fire suppression, prevention, inspection, and code enforcement activities. The role works closely with the City Administrator, City Council, and regional partners, prepares and presents reports, pursues and administers grants, supports public education and outreach, and drives continuous improvement of department programs and services.
