Job Description

Job Summary The Box Truck Driver/Merchandise Handler is responsible for transporting products to and from retail stores and customer's homes. A key component of this role involves physical labor, including loading/unloading cargo, verifying inventory, and securing items for transport. Other duties include setting up merchandise in store, and maintaining cleanliness of the merchandise once returned. Some computer work and phones.
Responsibilities and Duties Driving:
Safely operate a box truck on pre-determined local routes, adhering to all traffic laws
Merchandise Handling:
Load and unload products from the truck with manual lifting and dollies.
Customer Service:
Deliver products to customers, obtain signatures, and represent the company professionally.
Maintenance:
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections (tires, brakes, lights).
Documentation:
Review shipping paperwork for accuracy and maintain logs.
Qualifications and Requirements License:
Valid Driver's License Experience:
6+ months of previous box truck driving or warehousing experience preferred but will train if needed
Physical Strength:
Ability to lift, push, and move products weighing 50-75 lbs regularly.
Skills:
ability to work with others and take care of customer's and companies merchadise
Typical Working Conditions Environment:
in store, on route, and in customer's homes
Stamina:
Involves standing, walking, lifting and manual labor
Schedule:
Generally, Mon-Sat daytime hours. Off Sundays and one day durring the week
Compensation and Benefits Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00+ per hour
