Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that fuels your passion for driving and logistics! In this position, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, to transport freight across various routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions, following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Drive over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight across multiple states or regions. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securement of freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, or tanker contents. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and adapt to real-time traffic or road conditions for efficient deliveries. Transport various types of freight including refrigerated items, hazardous materials (Hazmat), dangerous goods, or specialty cargo like automobile transportation. Comply with all safety protocols related to hazardous materials regulations and truck loading/unloading procedures to prevent accidents or violations. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery. Hands-on experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment such as Hazmat-certified trucks. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication standards, and hazardous materials regulations. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks during load & unload operations. Prior experience in delivery driving within logistics cargo handling environments is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the truck type being operated; endorsements for Hazmat or tanker loads are a plus.
