Schab Logistics has the perfect opportunity for you in Mobile, AL! Our home-daily schedules ensure you spend more nights at home. We are seeking skilled and reliable CDL A Truck Drivers with 3 or more years of experience . The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable, safe, and provide excellent customer service. Your Responsibilities Transport containers to and from the port to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and perform preventative maintenance Adhere to safety protocols and work independently Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following all applicable DOT regulations Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Report defects, accidents, or violations Pass Drug and Alcohol testing Your Skills Minimum of 3 years of CDL-A driving experience Skills in port work are a plus Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.) Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc) Valid Class A CDL and TWIC card needed Ability to drive a 10-speed is a plus A few nights or some weekends may be required
Pay:
$1,000.00 - $1,300.00 per week
