Job Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Truck Driver, where your expertise will drive our commitment to reliable and efficient freight delivery. In this vital role, you will operate various types of commercial trucks, non-CDL flatbeds, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods across diverse routes. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries. Load and unload freight efficiently while following proper manual handling procedures and logistics cargo handling protocols. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate route planning and timely deliveries across multiple locations. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, including those related to dangerous goods and hazardous substances. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the truck. Load and secure cargo properly for transportation, ensuring compliance with safety standards for different types of freight on flatbed trailers this includes tarping and securing loads. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Valid driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving on OTR routes. Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods. Experience operating various truck types such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles skillfully; experience with manual handling is essential. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
