Job Description

  • Phoenix, AZ
  • is seeking to add a
  • Class A Driver
  • to their team. The driver will run local routes around Phoenix and to other Clean Harbors facilities picking up drums and containers of waste to transport to the facility. This position will include light touch freight as needed.
  • Schedule:
  • 3:00 PM-11:30 PM. Monday-Friday. Overtime and Saturdays as needed. Training will take place on a day shift for the first few weeks.

+ Follow assigned routes for scheduled pickups and deliveries.

+ Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

+ Ensure drums and other containers are properly segregated, secured, and transported.

+ Follow vehicle weight requirements and properly use Company equipment.

+ Properly placard vehicles according to Company and DOT regulations.

+ Maintain accurate daily logs, worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch reports, trip reports, and vehicle inspection records.

+ Communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily schedules, delays, and demurrage.

+ Inspect, maintain, and clean assigned Company vehicles and equipment.

+ Ensure assigned equipment remains mechanically sound and in safe working condition.

+ Maintain all required DOT, OSHA, RCRA, and Company training records.

+ Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to internal and external customers.

+ Follow all Company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.

+ Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

+ High school diploma or equivalent required;

+ Valid Class A CDL is required;

+ No auto restrict on CDL, as we do have manual transmissions as well;

+ Hazmat endorsement is required; + 1+ years of Class A driving experience is required. Clean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.
