Job Summary MWC Group is seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver specializing in construction and steel fabrication logistics. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers and various commercial trucks to transport construction materials, steel components, and heavy equipment across diverse routes. Your expertise in freight handling, route navigation, and compliance with federal regulations will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in supporting large-scale construction projects through reliable transportation services. Responsibilities Safely operate company Class A vehicles and gooseneck trailers. Transport structural steel, fabricated materials, equipment and construction supplies to jobsites. Properly load and secure steel and other construction materials. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Assist with loading and unloading materials at the shop and jobsites. Maintain required DOT records and delivery documentation. Communicate with project managers, foremen and jobsite personnel regarding deliveries. Maintain equipment and report mechanical or safety issues promptly. Follow all DOT, OSHA and MWC Group safety requirements. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL . Current DOT medical certification. Safe driving record. 2+ years of commercial driving experience. Experience hauling steel, construction materials or equipment preferred. Flatbed or gooseneck trailer experience. Knowledge of proper load securement. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work outdoors and assist with loading/unloading as needed. Must be able to pass federal and project-specific background checks. Construction, steel fabrication or welding experience is a major plus. Work Locations & Travel The position is based out of Adelanto, California and primarily supports projects throughout California. MWC Group also has projects in other states. Current out-of-state projects include Oahu, Hawaii; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Fort Smith, Arkansas . Employees should be willing and able to travel and work out of town as project assignments require. Additional states and project locations may be added as our workload expands.
