Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with regulations Deliver freight accurately to designated destinations while maintaining proper documentation in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, hazardous materials regulations (if applicable), and safety protocols during all driving and loading activities Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly Experience No prior professional truck driving experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply! Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record is essential Basic knowledge of commercial truck driving operations, including manual transmission handling and load securing techniques Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery routes Understanding of logistics cargo handling, including freight loading/unloading procedures for various types of cargo such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, or temperature-sensitive freight Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations is preferred but not mandatory—training will be provided Ability to handle manual tasks associated with truck loading/unloading and cargo management safely and effectively Embark on a rewarding career in trucking where safety meets opportunity!
