Job Description
Class A CDL Driver Clear Water Mechanical Plumbing & Underground is looking for a reliable, safety-focused, and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, responsible, and comfortable operating commercial vehicles and hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. This position will work closely with our field crews, technicians, and management to ensure materials, equipment, and vehicles are delivered safely and on time. What You'll Do Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers. Transport equipment, materials, tools, and supplies to and from job sites. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate vehicle inspection and maintenance records. Follow all DOT, DMV, company, and safety requirements. Ensure proper weight distribution and load securement. Assist field crews with loading, unloading, staging, and moving equipment when needed. Pick up and deliver materials from vendors, suppliers, and job sites. Maintain communication with dispatch and management regarding deliveries and schedules. Report vehicle issues, damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs immediately. Keep assigned vehicles clean, organized, and in good operating condition. Assist with general yard, warehouse, and equipment organization when not driving. Follow all company policies and procedures. Represent Clear Water Mechanical professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and other contractors. What We're Looking For Valid Class A CDL required. Clean and acceptable driving record. Current DOT medical certification as required. Previous commercial driving experience preferred. Experience hauling equipment, construction materials, or trailers preferred. Strong knowledge of load securement and safe driving practices. Ability to safely operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and follow directions. Willingness to assist with physical work when needed. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be safety-conscious and take pride in maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Preferred Experience Construction industry experience. Experience hauling heavy equipment. Experience with dump trucks, flatbeds, trailers, or similar equipment. Experience operating equipment such as forklifts or loaders. Familiarity with Bay Area roads, construction sites, and commercial job sites. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience.
