The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial trucks to transport goods over long distances, primarily through over-the-road (OTR) driving. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and timely delivery, ensuring our clients' needs are met efficiently and professionally. Duties Operate Class A commercial trucks for long-haul transportation of goods across various locations. Ensure the safe and secure loading and unloading of cargo in accordance with company policies and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any issues or maintenance needs. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies during transportation duties. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Manage documentation related to shipments, including bills of lading and delivery receipts. Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Minimum of 2 years of over-the-road (OTR) driving experience with commercial trucks. Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on safety and compliance. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for long-distance trucking. Ability to operate large vehicles safely under various road conditions. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. Physical ability to handle cargo loading/unloading tasks as needed.
