In this role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting freight within local routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, dry-van, containers and other specialized equipment for local delivery routes. possible unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes and meet delivery schedules. Manage logistics cargo handling by inspecting loads, verifying documentation, and ensuring proper weight distribution. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and truck safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during trips. Requirements

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK FOR AMAZON!

! Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving within local areas. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and safety standards for hazardous goods transportation. Ability to handle manual unloading tasks safely and efficiently. Experience operating GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time directions. Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling. Ability to operate automatic transmission Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance on over-the-road (OTR) routes when necessary. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks and extended periods of driving.
