TANKER & HAZMAT ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED. EXPERIENCE IN BOTH 10-SPEED AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
Company Background:
United Pumping Service (United) is a family owned and operated environmental remediation firm that has been in business since 1970. United operates out of an 8-acre terminal located in the City of Industry, California. We maintain an impressive fleet of tanker trucks, roll-off containers, and support equipment to handle day-to-day removal requests as well as emergency response situations. United can assure clients quality service in the areas of transportation, disposal, site remediation, decontamination, plant closures, tank cleaning and removal, and various other environmental needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate vacuum trucks, end dumps, roll-off trucks and dry vans. Load waste chemical into trucks and transport to disposal sites at various locations. 95% of driving will be intrastate and 5% of the driving is interstate. Clean up chemical spills and chemical tanks. Manifest hazardous and non-hazardous waste for transportation. Drivers are on call and available to respond 24 hours a day for chemical spills and are on-call every other weekend. We are a 24/7 emergency response company.
QUALIFICATIONS
Calif Commercial Class A drivers license (CDL) WITH hazardous materials and tanker endorsements.
REQUIRED HAZWOPER
40 or 8 hour refresher a plus (we will train you for certification). Confined space certification training a plus (we will train you for certification). No DUI in the last 7 years. Satisfactory DMV driving history. Must be willing to complete DOT pre-employment physical exam with DOT drug screen. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Experience as a hazmat driver a plus. Experienced in both automatic and 10-speed transmissions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing, walking, siting, driving for entire shift. Lifting 10-50 lbs climbing 5-15 feet (using ladders, in & out of truck cab) crouching, crawling, bending, loud noises, chemicals, oils, lubricants Out of town overnight lay-overs on occasion.
