TBD Southern California Sunrise Recovery Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Behavioral Health Technician/Client Transport Driver, Monday•Friday, primarily taking clients to appointments, picking up new admits, and dropping off as directed. If drives not needed work as a tech as directed. This is a combined position. The employee's responsibilities will include safely transporting clients and assisting with Behavioral Health Technician, facility, cleaning, organizational, and operations-support duties when not driving.Primary Responsibilities:
Safely transport clients to approved appointments, hospitals, urgent care facilities, laboratories, admissions, discharges, and other authorized locations Use a company vehicle and follow all client transportation and vehicle-safety procedures Communicate with facility staff before, during, and after each transport Maintain accurate transportation, mileage, and vehicle-inspection logs Assist with client supervision and routine Behavioral Health Technician duties Complete required client observations and documentation as assigned Support clients respectfully while maintaining professional boundaries Help maintain a safe, calm, and therapeutic residential environment Clean and organize common areas, staff workspaces, supply areas, garages, and company vehicles Restock supplies and notify management when items need to be reordered Assist with organizing facility records, equipment, and operational materials Complete assigned facility and operations-support tasks during periods when no transportation is scheduled Immediately report client concerns, transportation delays, vehicle problems, accidents, or unusual incidents Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Perform other reasonable client-care and operations duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED At least one year of behavioral health or mental health experience preferred Valid California driver's license Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company automobile insurance requirements Must pass a Live Scan background check Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification before beginning client transport Dependable attendance and consistent weekend availability Ability to remain calm and professional during unexpected or challenging situations Willingness to clean, organize, assist staff, and complete operational duties when not transporting clients Ability to communicate clearly and complete written documentation Ability to work independently while following direction and established procedures This is not a driving-only position. Applicants must be willing to assist with Behavioral Health Technician duties, facility cleaning, organization, and operations support throughout the shift.
