Our mission is to be the leading provider of innovative construction solutions for our clients, providing the best value in support of their growing utility and infrastructure requirements Our Core Values Safety | Continuous Development | Respect | Integrity | Performance | Trust | Fun How You Can Make an Impact The Yard Technician is responsible for the general organization of the yard to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the yard operations and related off-site locations. This person will assist with all aspects of the construction yard, including occupational and environmental health and safety, yard team management, material inventory, maintenance, and possible minor repair of vehicles as needed. How You Will Contribute Assist with material and equipment inventory and restocking. Oversee yard layout and equipment line up. Responsible for the organization of the yard including general yard maintenance and yard clean up. Loading and unloading material on/off of delivery trucks or company vehicles. Clean and organize shop work area: sweep and clean work surfaces, clean vehicles, store parts, empty and discard garbage May operate power-driven equipment that may be needed to maintain the yard; such as leaf blowers, weed trimer, forklift, etc. May perform minor repairs on equipment as directed. Comply with company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment, PPE, responding to safety concerns and taking appropriate action. May be required to handle hazardous materials. Assist with safety protocols for backing and lifting. Perform other job-related duties as requested by your supervisor. What You Bring to the Table Knowledge of the safe and proper use of equipment and tools Able to maintain a clean, organized, clutter free yard, inventory skills a plus Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule with minimal direction Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and verbal instructions Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Valid Class C Driver's License with no driving restrictions. Your Prior Experience Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work Forklift certification Ability to operate a forklift and front-end loader Mechanically inclined High School Diploma or GED equivalent
