San Luis Obispo | Monday-Friday | 12:00 PM-5:00 PM Looking for extra income? Love helping people? Want to gain valuable experience in the healthcare industry? This could be the perfect opportunity for you! Care Connection Transport Services is looking for a friendly, responsible, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Lead Patient Transport Driver in San Luis Obispo. This position is ideal for someone looking for a consistent Monday-Friday afternoon schedule , working approximately 5 hours per day . We provide safe and compassionate wheelchair and gurney transportation for clients traveling from local hospitals to their homes, care facilities, and other destinations throughout the Central Coast. Local and long-distance transportation may be available. No Experience Required - We Train You! We provide hands-on training to ensure you are comfortable and confident performing all aspects of the job.
License Required:
Valid Driver's License held for at least 3 years with a clean driving record. Company Vehicles Provided - No Personal Vehicle Required! What You'll Do Safely transport clients in company-provided wheelchair-accessible vehicles Escort and assist clients in and out of the vehicle Safely push, load, and secure wheelchair and gurney clients Ensure clients are transported with dignity, respect, and safety Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment during transportation Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate customer service Communicate positively with clients, families, healthcare facilities, and team members Assist with wheelchair securement and transportation procedures Full training provided for wheelchair and client securement Schedule & Training Monday-Friday 12:00 PM-5:00 PM Approximately 25 hours per week Hands-on training provided Opportunity for additional hours as available Opportunity for growth and increased responsibility Potential opportunity to transition into a full-time position We're looking for someone who brings positive energy, professionalism, and compassion to every interaction. Requirements Valid Driver's License held for at least the past 3 years Clean driving record No DUI convictions Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening No disqualifying criminal convictions Strong reliability and punctuality Professional and compassionate attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity, including: Assisting and maneuvering clients in manual wheelchairs Pushing and loading wheelchairs and gurneys Bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces Sitting and standing for extended periods Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 lbs.
