In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently towing vehicles in various situations, including breakdowns, accidents, and roadside emergencies. Your expertise will ensure vehicles are transported securely while providing exceptional customer service to drivers in need. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, mechanical skills, and customer care are paramount. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks equipped with flatbed or hook-and-chain systems to recover and transport vehicles safely. Assess vehicle conditions and determine the appropriate towing method based on mechanical diagnostics and vehicle type. Load, unload, and secure vehicles using mechanical knowledge of automotive repair and load management techniques. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience during stressful situations. Maintain detailed records of all tow operations, including logs of vehicle details, locations, and services performed. Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment to ensure safety standards are met and perform minor mechanical repairs if necessary. Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving, conflict management, and vehicle handling to prevent accidents or injuries. Skills Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems to assess vehicle issues quickly. Experience with manual transmissions and automotive repair techniques. Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar heavy-duty vehicles preferred. Mechanical aptitude with mechanic experience is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Excellent conflict management skills for handling difficult or stressful situations professionally. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for managing heavy or awkward loads. Outstanding customer service skills to assist drivers courteously during roadside emergencies. Join our team to make a difference on the road!
