Job Description

POSITION TITLE
: Class A Driver
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes. Load and unload cargo. Record amount and type of cargo being delivered. Submit all required paperwork in a timely manner. Take orders for new delivers. Drive long distances.

Full-time Urban Leaf, dba The Produce Company is a Food Processing Facility based in Tracy and we looking for a local truck driver with Class A license. Must have a clean driving record.
Essential Job Functions:
Transport processed goods and sourced foods to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. Submit all paperwork and documents required the Company in a timely manner. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Ensure clients sign verification forms and receipts for goods and receive payment for the merchandise if there is a cash-on-delivery arrangement. Return receipts, payments, records of deliveries made, and any reports on mechanical problems with their trucks to the supervisor or Production Manager. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Collect, verify, and delegate delivery instructions Assist in loading the trucks and arrange items for ease of delivery. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, etc) Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Ensure truck is left clean for the next driver. Report defects, accidents or violations immediately and appropriately. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Valid DMV verification of driving history and clean driving record (in other words, no more than two moving violations and one at-fault accident in 24 months) 2 Years Truck-driving experience Must be 21 years of age or older High School graduate or equivalent Communicate and understand the directions of the supervisor. Communicate orally and in writing efficiently and appropriately Must pay attention to details when completing forms Must be punctual and dependable Basic math and reasoning skills Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide past employment references Open availability for full-time employment Ability to work weekends Knowledge of all California truck driving rules and regulations Some knowledge of truck tracking technologies is helpful but not necessary Some knowledge of Spanish strongly preferred but not necessary Physical requirements Position demands considerable lifting, carrying, and walking each day. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Ability to withstand sedentary position based on road and weather conditions Have ability to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally and frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment with manual or mechanized pallet jack. Have the ability to load and unload heavy weight cargo using company manual and mechanical forklifts Ability to pull/push equipment around the warehouse as needed Must be able to bend and twist body without difficulty as needed To Apply Please e-mail us through
