Job Description

Join us as a Milk Truck Driver and be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering quality dairy products safely and efficiently. Mystic Cheese is hiring a part-time employee to safely transport our milk from the farm to our factory in Groton CT.

Requirements:

Licensed with a clean driving record Must be able to pass a drug test Mechanic aptitude An early riser Reliable transportation Able to maintain truck & trailer for DOT inspections Good time management and organizational skills (this is a time sensitive job) Able to lift 70lbs Basic Math Required to inspect and maintain milk pump & hoses Communicate effectively with dispatchers to coordinate pick-up schedules and address any logistical issues promptly Assist with the loading or unloading process when necessary, ensuring the integrity of refrigerated cargo is maintained at all times Experience Proven experience with 16' trailer with approximately 5,000lbs Ability to back up with 'obstacles' that can change from pickup to pickup Ability to secure load with confidence Ability to drive and operate the pump in all types of weather Operate a pallet jack with 2,500lbs Strong knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety regulations related to trucking operations Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits and adherence to traffic laws

$23.50 - $27.50 per hour
