Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tow Truck Operator and become a vital part of our roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized tow trucks to safely recover, transport, and assist vehicles in various situations. Your mechanical aptitude, driving expertise, and customer service skills will ensure every tow is handled efficiently and professionally. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real difference on the road every day. Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles in diverse conditions Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring secure transportation using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate vehicle recovery operations Maintain detailed records of all towing activities, including logs of loads, unloads, and incidents Perform routine inspections and basic automotive repairs to ensure tow truck safety and readiness Manage conflict situations professionally while providing excellent customer service during stressful roadside incidents Requirements Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or mechanic work is highly desirable Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and manual transmissions Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with tow truck operation required Ability to operate heavy machinery such as flatbed trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently Excellent driving skills with experience in commercial driving environments Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle challenging customer interactions calmly Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, or mechanic roles preferred Physical ability to load/unload vehicles and perform manual tasks in various weather conditions Join us to deliver reliable roadside assistance while advancing your skills in a rewarding environment! Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
