Lead Driver The Lead Driver plays a key leadership role in daily transportation and warehouse operations. This position supports and guides drivers to ensure efficient route execution, timely departures, and excellent customer service. The Lead Driver assists with training new drivers, optimizing routes, troubleshooting basic technology issues, and maintaining operational readiness. This role also requires route coverage and warehouse support as needed. Key Responsibilities Assist with unloading incoming distribution freight and sorting parcels by route. Work closely with DSP/TPC drivers to sort, number, and load vehicles to ensure an efficient morning dispatch. Provide route coverage for library and distribution routes, ensuring efficiency and high levels of customer service. Lead by example during morning loadout by actively assisting drivers and maintaining a fastpaced, organized operation. Support route optimization and mapping to improve delivery efficiency. Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to delivery applications, telematics, and operating system updates. Conduct endofday scans of remaining packages to verify and reconcile undelivered stops. Assist with vehicle upkeep, maintenance logs, and ensure telematics systems are functioning properly. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization to prepare for the following day's operations.
