You are also responsible for the safe operation and cleanliness of the truck you are assigned. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, Depending on projects occasional nights and Saturdays. This position sometimes requires long and physical hours in all types of weather and overtime is expected to occur depending on project requirements. (room for growth) Essential duties and responsibilities Performs thorough pre trip and post trip inspections; checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order and meets applicable laws and Dot regulations. Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward it to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision. Maintain communication with dispatcher as necessary regarding deliveries, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervisor. Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle, investigate abnormalities and perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs. Safely navigate areas of heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic, as well as various other roadways and construction obstacles obeying applicable laws and following dispatch instructions. Inform customers of products, listen and communicate or resolve service complaints. Maintains personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operation, and clean personal appearance by complying with organizational operational policies, procedures and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations. Cleans truck exterior and interior according to prescribed procedures. Maintains delivery, truck, and all ticket records by obtaining proper signatures and information. Completes pre/post trip inspection forms and logging any issues with truck performance. Other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL class B driver's license Valid DOT medical card Previous heavy equipment operator preferred but will provide necessary training for the right candidate.Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

Demonstrates a willingness to work overtime and weekends if needed. Demonstrates the ability work and communicate well with other employees and supervisors. Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations. Demonstrates good internal and external customer service, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrates good performance, safety and attendance and punctuality. Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision. Demonstrates the ability to follow written or verbal instructions. Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks. Must pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment-controlled substance testing. Pay & Benefits This is a full-time hourly position. Starting pay is based on experience with room to grow based on satisfactory full-time employment. Paid holidays include the days of New Years, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Flat health insurance premium assistance of 50% per week after 3 months of full-time employment. One-week paid vacation after 120 working days of employment.Job Type:
