Our company is committed to giving our customers the highest quality transportation service available. Experienced staff utilize their knowledge and skills to efficiently manage freight consistently to meet all delivery goals. Bacarella Trucking Services delivers to all points in Connecticut as well as New York's Westchester County. We specialize in general consignments, as well as import-export trucking services. Additionally, Bacarella Trucking Services offers air freight shipment services both domestic and international. Bacarella Trucking Services is an established company experienced in offering quick and dependable services for over 25 years. Bacarella Trucking is currently seeking a full time CDL Class A driver for Hartford/BDL with runs to/from Shelton, CT. This position will be based out of our Windsor, CT location.
Schedule:
Full-time, 1st Shift, Monday - Friday. Extended hours will be based on freight volume. Mandatory weekend shift scheduled every other weekend.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid CDL driver's license Operate Manual and Automatic Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy Ability to count and perform basic math Basic written and verbal communication skills Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck Ability to follow instructions and complete required training Provide quality service to customers using clear communication skills Operate company owned vehicle to facilitate shipping and receiving operations Must be knowledgeable of DOT regulations Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps Perform all other duties as assigned
Skills:
Minimum of 3 years driving experience Be able to operate an electronic forklift Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience Strength to lift up to 75 pounds plus bending and twisting Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively Bacarella Trucking is An Equal Opportunity Employer.
