Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight and equipment across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, roll-off truck, and freight loads—will be essential to our success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to a fast-paced logistics operation that values safety, efficiency, and professionalism. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or heavy cargo Transport various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks to multiple destinations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining fuel efficiency and safety protocols Document delivery details accurately in logs and reports; communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates or issues Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other trailer types to prevent shifting during transit Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license and a clean driving record Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Strong knowledge of freight handling, load securing techniques, and safe driving practices on different terrains Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently Excellent route planning skills with a focus on timely deliveries and customer satisfaction Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients; ability to follow detailed instructions precisely Physical stamina for long hours on the road; ability to perform vehicle inspections and cargo handling tasks Must be over 21 Must be able to access military bases Some weekend work is required. $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
