Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Rollback Operator and become a vital part of our vehicle recovery and transportation operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and transporting vehicles and smaller equipment using specialized rollback equipment. Your mechanical aptitude, automotive diagnostics skills, and customer service mindset will ensure smooth operations while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, including those requiring mechanical troubleshooting and precise handling. Responsibilities Operate rollback tow trucks and flatbed equipment to load, transport, and unload vehicles with precision and care Conduct basic automotive diagnostics to identify vehicle issues during recovery or transport processes Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems on vehicles or equipment as needed Safely load and unload vehicles, including manual transmissions and heavy-duty trucks, ensuring secure positioning during transit Manage conflict situations professionally when interacting with customers or team members to resolve issues quickly Drive commercial vehicles responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury Qualifications Proven experience in automotive repair, mechanic work, or related fields with a focus on vehicle recovery or towing Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving tow trucks, flatbeds, or forklift operation is highly desirable Familiarity with manual transmissions and heavy-duty vehicle handling techniques Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during recovery or transport scenarios Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment such as flatbeds or tow trucks Experience in conflict management to handle challenging situations professionally Must be over 21 Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must show up on time. Be able to work nights and weekends following an on call schedule and reside within a 20 minute raduis of dagsboro.
