Part-Time, Monday-Friday, between 8am-5pm Must have the ability to transport locally and regionally. Long distance trips on an as needed basis.Pay:
$16.50 - $19.50 per hour Who We Are Tri-State Truck & Equipment Sales' mission is to deliver quality vehicles to the customer at a good price and in a fair and reasonable manner. We believe that integrity and value do not have to be sacrificed in order to be successful in business, and at the same time we excel in getting the customer great pricing for the vehicles and equipment they purchase. We deal in nearly all commercial vehicles, ranging from small pickups and vans through to tandem axle tractors; we buy and sell vehicles of any type, any age, and any condition. Position Summary A Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transport of our vehicles to and/or from our customers. The ideal candidate should have a clean driving record, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities- Pick up and/or deliver company owned vehicles from one destination to another
- Perform routine pre-trip and maintenance check on the company vehicle before beginning transport to ensure proper fluid levels
- Maintain an organized and clean interior of the vehicle during transport and upon delivery
- Maintain DOT Log on certain length trips
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors, reporting any delays, issues, or incidents promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Properly handle all paperwork and documentation associated with a vehicles transport including releases, fuel and related receipts, and delivery confirmation
- Be cognizant of hours-of-service limitations at any given time that would inhibit driving ability
- Maintain a professional appearance and have good customer service skills while representing our company Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license required
- Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic violations.
- Be prepared to work flexible hours and be prepared to transport local, regional, or long distance trips as needed
- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles, including tractors
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent knowledge of local traffic patterns and routes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience as a driver or delivery driver Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards preferred
- Previous experience with accurately maintaining DOT Logs preferred
- Valid CDL license preferred, must have a valid medical card and keep on person at all times if CDL licensed. Work Environment
