Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Junk Removal Technician / Helper and become a vital part of our waste management and recycling operations! In this energetic role, you will assist with the safe and efficient removal of junk, debris, and unwanted materials from residential, commercial, and construction sites. Your enthusiasm and strong work ethic will help ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an engaging outdoor work environment where you'll be active, challenged, and part of a dedicated team committed to environmentally responsible waste disposal. Duties Assist with loading and unloading junk, debris, and heavy materials from trucks using manual lifting techniques or mechanical equipment such as front-end loaders or roll-off trucks Operate various commercial trucks including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks in compliance with all traffic laws and safety protocols Drive safely along designated routes while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, state transportation laws, and company policies Help maintain cleanliness and organization of work sites by properly sorting recyclable materials from waste Follow safety procedures diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries, including proper handling of hazardous materials when necessary Support team members in the maintenance and mechanical inspection of trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance Communicate professionally with customers to provide excellent service and address any questions or concerns Skills Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, or roll-off trucks with manual transmission and air brake systems Solid understanding of heavy lifting techniques, outdoor work conditions, and waste management procedures Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for outdoor waste collection Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of trucks and equipment Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in route driving and delivery driving preferred Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during pickups or drop-offs Ability to work efficiently in physically demanding environments while maintaining safety standards Join us today to make a difference by helping keep communities clean!
