1099 contractor position Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Local CDL Class A Flatbed Driver to operate local delivery routes in Jensen Beach, Florida. This position involves operating a flatbed truck equipped with a Moffett forklift , safely transporting and delivering freight to customers. All routes are local, so drivers return home daily with no overnight travel. Moffett training may be provided to qualified applicants who need certification. Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A flatbed truck on assigned local delivery routes. Make timely and accurate pickups and deliveries. Load and unload freight using a Moffett forklift. Properly secure all cargo in accordance with DOT and FMCSA safety requirements. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, Moffett forklift, and cargo. Use GPS navigation systems to follow routes and meet delivery schedules. Communicate with dispatch regarding route updates, delivery status, delays, or other issues. Follow all federal, state, company, and customer safety procedures. Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers and store personnel. Requirements Valid CDL Class A driver's license held for a minimum of two years. Acceptable background check and motor vehicle record. Flatbed driving experience preferred. Previous Moffett forklift experience preferred; training may be provided if needed. Must complete and pass Moffett certification. Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and cargo-securement standards. Ability to safely load, unload, and handle flatbed freight. Ability to operate a manual-transmission truck. Familiarity with GPS navigation and local route planning. Strong driving, communication, safety, and customer-service skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Applicants who successfully complete all qualification requirements may be eligible to receive training or orientation pay.
