Job Description

Summary/Objective The driver for this position must be comfortable maneuvering and parking a 53' gooseneck step trailer strapping, hauling oversized loads, and hauling local routes.
Essential Roles:
Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing load as needed on trailer Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules Schedule routine maintenance of truck as needed (refueling, cleaning, oil changes etc.) Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections Verifying load for accuracy and quality assurance Vacuum automatic loads Work on weekends for special deliveries Other duties as assigned Competencies Adaptability

Work Environment The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, and bending. The employee will regularly be required to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 Year with Class A CDL with verifiable driving references (Required) Clean MVR record with no moving violations in the past 2 years (Required) Experienced Hauling oversized loads 1 year (Preferred) Long distance hauling 1 year (Preferred) Have the ability to do vacuum pneumatic and plastic palette transfers (required) Landfill dumpsters roll off experience (preferred)
