Position Summary We're looking for a Crew Member who can safely, with a valid Driver's License, drive a company-provided vehicle. The Crew Member at Blue Bell helps maintain the beauty, health, and functionality of our clients' landscapes. This role is a starting point for people who want to grow into true landscape professionals — not just operate equipment. It's a hands-on job for someone who takes pride in quality work, works well as part of a team, and is committed to doing every job safely. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a company-owned vehicle, driving other team members to job sites and client locations on a daily basis. Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging to a consistent, high-quality standard. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively across a variety of landscaping tasks. Apply good horticultural practices to protect and improve plant health across client sites. Prune and care for trees, shrubs, and perennials using proper techniques to support plant health and appearance. Dig and prepare soil for planting new vegetation and landscaping features. Maintain clean, attractive, and hazard-free grounds for every client site. Assist with snow removal and plowing operations during winter months, as needed. Inspect equipment before use and report any damage, malfunction, or safety concern immediately. Collaborate with crew members and your Crew Leader to complete each day's route efficiently, safely, and on schedule. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Must be 18 years of age or older (insurance requirement). Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience preferred, but not required — we provide on-the-job training. Previous landscape or horticulture experience may qualify for higher starting pay and faster advancement. Basic knowledge of computer applications for timekeeping and communication; basic comfort with mobile apps or digital tools is helpful. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required. A customer-first mindset and professional attitude on every job site. Willingness to learn safe equipment operation and follow established safety procedures. Physical Demands Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and repetitive motion. Ability to work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, including heat and cold. Ability to safely lift and carry landscaping materials and equipment (50-90 lbs). Complete pre-use inspections on all equipment and report issues before operating. Follow all posted safety procedures and wear required PPE for the task at hand. Schedule Typical hours are 6:30 AM -5:30 PM, Monday-Friday, 50 hrs/week based on business need, subject to change . Seasonal and weather-related schedule adjustments may apply.
