Job Description
Job Summary We are currently seeking skilled, reliable, and safety-focused CDL Garbage Truck Drivers (Class A or B) to operate front-load garbage trucks for local waste collection routes in developing neighborhoods. The ideal candidate will have experience operating front-load garbage trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently on a consistent daily route. This position offers steady local work , consistent hours, and overtime opportunities . Responsibilities Safely operate Class A or B CDL front-load garbage trucks on assigned local collection routes Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Load, collect, and transport waste materials in accordance with company and DOT standards Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to supervisors Maintain accurate daily route logs and inspection records Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including DOT safety requirements Maintain current CDL certification and compliance Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to ensure route efficiency Maintain a professional, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic Experience & Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record 3+ years of CDL driving experience preferred Prior experience operating garbage trucks Basic mechanical knowledge related to heavy-duty trucks Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening Knowledge of Florida traffic laws and DOT regulations Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused What We Offer $20-$24 per hour, based on experience Overtime available (average 40-60 hours per week) Local routes - home daily Multiple locations with immediate openings Stable, long-term employment Medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days 1 week paid vacation per year
