This energetic position offers the opportunity to operate specialized equipment, set pilings with precision, and contribute to the successful completion of complex marine infrastructure. Your mechanical knowledge, rigging skills, and management capabilities will be essential in ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality on every project. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
Responsibilities Operate barge-mounted equipment to set pilings accurately according to project specifications and safety standards Manage rigging operations to secure heavy materials and equipment safely during installation processes Coordinate with team members to plan and execute piling installation sequences efficiently Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting as needed Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of personal protective equipment and emergency procedures Assist in managing project timelines by ensuring timely setup, operation, and disassembly of piling systems Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, equipment usage, and safety checks to ensure compliance and accountability Qualifications Prior experience operating marine or barge-mounted heavy equipment such as pile drivers or cranes Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery Proven rigging skills for lifting and securing heavy loads safely Management experience or leadership skills to coordinate tasks effectively on-site Military background preferred for discipline, teamwork, and technical aptitude Knowledge of safety regulations related to marine construction environments Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy objects as required This role offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with a passion for marine construction.
