PODS is seeking a safety-focused CDL Driver - Local Class B to join our Transportation & Logistics team. In this local role, you'll operate a CDL B truck to deliver and pick up PODS containers for residential and commercial customers. You'll perform thorough vehicle inspections, safely load, secure, and maneuver containers, and follow all DOT and company safety standards. You'll interact directly with customers on each route, providing professional, courteous service while handling questions and documenting deliveries with handheld/electronic systems. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class B truck to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs Secure and maneuver containers using proper equipment and safety procedures Provide professional, customer-first service at each stop, addressing basic questions and concerns Accurately complete logs, delivery documentation, and use handheld/electronic devices Follow all DOT, company, and safety policies while representing PODS in the field Collaborate with dispatch and team members to meet route schedules and resolve issues Required Skills CDL Class B driving Defensive driving Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Local route navigation/GPS use Operation of lift gates and dollies Load securement and weight distribution DOT and FMCSA compliance Electronic logging/device use Customer service and communication Paperwork and delivery documentation
