Job Description

PODS is seeking a Local CDL Driver - Class B to safely deliver and pick up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this on-site role within our Transportation & Logistics team, you'll operate Class B trucks on local routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure containers are properly loaded, secured, and positioned. You'll interact directly with customers, representing PODS' customer-first, safety-focused culture through professional, courteous service. This opportunity lets you build logistics, operations, and customer service skills with a growing company offering advancement across its nationwide network. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class B truck to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly Secure, load, and unload containers following company and DOT safety standards Provide professional, customer-first service at each stop, answering basic questions Follow assigned routes and schedules while meeting on-time delivery expectations Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT documentation Comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and PODS safety policies Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or route changes Required Skills CDL Class B commercial driving Local route navigation and mapping Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Load securement and safe cargo handling DOT and FMCSA regulation compliance Electronic log device (ELD) use Customer service and communication Time management and routing efficiency Backing, maneuvering, and tight-space driving Safety and incident reporting
