Job Description
CDL Delivery Driver Metal Ops is looking for a dependable, professional CDL Delivery Driver to join our growing Tampa operation. This is a local/regional driving position — not an over-the-road job. You'll deliver metal roofing materials directly to professional roofing contractors and active jobsites while operating high-quality commercial trucks, flatbed equipment, and a Moffett. We're looking for someone who wants more than a driving job. We want a driver who takes pride in their truck, takes ownership of their deliveries, enjoys working with customers, and wants to be part of a rapidly growing company where dependable people have opportunities to grow with us. Your Project Is Our Mission — and our drivers are responsible for completing that mission. What You'll Do Complete local and regional deliveries from our Tampa facility to contractor locations and active jobsites. Safely operate CDL trucks, flatbeds, trailers, and Moffett truck-mounted forklifts. Load, secure, transport, and unload metal roofing panels, trim, coil, and accessories. Verify every order before departure and ensure material arrives on time, accurate, and damage-free. Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT and ELD compliance. Communicate with dispatch and customers throughout the delivery process. Safely navigate active residential and commercial construction sites. Maintain your assigned truck, Moffett, and equipment in clean, professional condition. Provide excellent customer service and professionally represent Metal Ops in the field. Assist the warehouse and operations team when needed. What We're Looking For Valid CDL and current DOT Medical Card. Safe driving history and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. Reliable, punctual, and ready to work. Strong understanding of safe commercial vehicle operation and load securement. Comfortable working outdoors and around active construction sites. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Someone who takes care of their truck and equipment. Someone who takes ownership when problems arise instead of passing responsibility. Flatbed delivery experience strongly preferred. Moffett/truck-mounted forklift experience strongly preferred. Roofing, lumber, building-material, or construction-supply delivery experience is a major plus.
