Summary:
Senior Center Driver The Senior Center Driver provides the delivery of meals to senior clients in their homes. The work performed in this position is under the direct supervision of the Senior Center Manager. Don't miss this perfect opportunity for retirees, students, or individuals seeking supplemental income! This is a part-time position. Monday-Friday, 27.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Package meals, load them into delivery vehicle and deliver meals to homebound clients. Monitor temperatures, quality and quantity of meals. In addition to this, you must monitor the temperature of the last meal delivered on each route twice per month and report on appropriate form. Report any accidents in writing to your immediate supervisor and follow established plan of action for accidents/incidents/moving violations. You must perform maintenance and care of your assigned vehicle which includes safety checks; ensuring fluid levels and tires are maintained; and ensuring that the vehicle is clean inside and out. Distribution of nutritional education materials to the clients. Ensuring twice monthly that the refrigerator and freezer of clients are functioning properly. May transport clients and provide escort services on a as needed basis.
Required Skills:
Must be able to meet deadlines and work within time frames. Must be willing to report suspected elder abuse, neglect or exploitation of any client to supervisor. Must attend and participate in required meetings and trainings. Must follow agency procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. U.S. citizenship Must have and maintain a clean driving record. Must have a criminal history absent of violent crimes against children. Must be at least 21 years of age or meet the requirements of agency insurance carrier. Must have 6 pts or fewer on MVR The mission of the Middle Georgia Community Action Agency and its branches is to provide, in collaboration with public and private partners, social services that addresses the needs of disadvantaged individuals.
