Job Description
Truss Delivery Driver - Class A CDL Job Summary We are looking for a dependable and safety-minded Class A CDL Truss Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely delivering trusses and building materials to residential, commercial and multi-family job sites while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has experience hauling trusses, oversized loads, and operating an expandable/extendable trailer. This is a home-every-night position with a strong focus on safety, dependability, and customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A CDL delivery truck and trailer in compliance with all DOT, CDL, company, and safety requirements. Deliver trusses and building materials safely and efficiently to job sites. Perform site deliveries involving oversized loads, including loads up to 14 feet wide . Properly secure, transport, unload, and handle trusses and other building materials. Inspect the truck, trailer, and equipment before and after use and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Report shortages, damaged materials, delivery issues, and customer claims to the Yard Manager. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and follow all required DOT documentation procedures. Maintain a clean and organized truck, trailer, and work area. Provide professional and courteous service to customers and job-site personnel. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. In plant working opportunities will be assigned when there are no delivery's required Qualifications & Requirements Valid Class A CDL required. Current DOT physical and medical certification. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and clean driving record. Previous experience hauling and delivering trusses strongly preferred. Experience operating an expandable/extendable roll-off or flatbed trailer preferred. Experience hauling oversized loads preferred. Ability to safely maneuver and deliver loads up to 14 feet wide . Ability to work outdoors and assist with loading, unloading, and handling building materials. Ability to safely lift, carry, pull, and move materials as required. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Safety-conscious attitude and commitment to following DOT and company regulations. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
