Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight, equipment, aggregate efficiently and on time. Your expertise in commercial driving, route management, and vehicle handling will ensure smooth operations across multiple delivery points. Also willing to work overtime, flexibility and weekends as needed. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including trucks with 10, 13, 18 speed manual transmissions, flatbeds, tankers, dump truck ,and other specialized equipment and vehicles. Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all federal and state regulations. Navigate route driving schedules, adhering to delivery deadlines while maintaining safe driving practices at all times. Manage the transportation of various cargo types, including freight requiring specialized handling like equipment, flatbedloads, or tanker loads. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or vehicle issues promptly. Properly secure loads using straps, chains and binders. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Hazmat and tanker endorsment Twic and DBIDS or ability to obatain. Forklift/piggyback experience. Complete a english language proficiency test and road and hwy sign test. Current medical card Current MVR driver history report. No moving violations/accidents or DUI within the last 3 years Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving load & unload responsibilities. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and handling specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks. Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight transportation, including trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment and vehicles. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks. Strong understanding of route planning and navigation for efficient delivery schedules.
