Job Description

TRUCK DRIVERS
Truck Drivers must be at least 21 years old (due to interstate travel) with a valid Class A Driver's License and DOT Medical Card and be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Truck Drivers operate a dump truck, side dump or semi with trailer. Truck Drivers typically work outdoors in this field. Truck Driver should be able to easily adapt to different weather environments, working conditions and job requirements. Bad weather does not always shut down the job for the day so be prepared to get dirty. Although the trucks do a lot of the work, there is still times when heavy lifting is required. You may be asked to help with various manual labor tasks on the job site as well. Regardless of your specific duties, you should have excellent communication skills. Not only do you interact with coworkers and supervisors, but you will also at times interact with the residential public and other contractors. While not driving, drivers are expected to perform maintenance on their vehicles such as cleaning the interior and exterior, filling the fuel tank and communicating with mechanics to schedule repairs and inspections to ensure the safety of everyone around. The Driver is required to keep and maintain mileage report, fuel report, daily inspection record, truck log and hauling tickets as well as a timecard and some contractors will require their form filled out for billing to be processed.
