None Position Summary Midwestern Equipment is looking for a dependable, hardworking Yard & Equipment Specialist to help keep our equipment yard organized, clean, safe, and running efficiently. This is a hands-on position. The person in this role will be responsible for loading and unloading semi-trucks, moving and organizing forklifts and equipment, maintaining the appearance of the yard, and keeping our equipment inventory updated with accurate photos and information. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the little things, and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. Key Responsibilities Load and unload semi-trucks using forklifts and other equipment. Safely move, stage, and organize forklifts and equipment throughout the yard. Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe. Prepare equipment for deliveries and customer pickups. Ensure equipment is positioned properly and ready to be moved or loaded. Take clear, accurate photos of forklifts and equipment for our inventory system. Upload and maintain equipment photos in the company's inventory app. Make sure photos accurately show the machine, attachments, tires, condition, and overall appearance. Pay close attention to details and identify when a machine needs to be cleaned, repositioned, or photographed again. Help keep inventory information accurate and up to date. Communicate with truck drivers and other employees during loading and unloading. Identify and report equipment damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues. Keep loading areas and surrounding work areas clean and organized. Perform general yard and equipment-related duties as needed. Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet to take and upload photos. Able to recognize when something doesn't look right and bring it to someone's attention. Safety-minded and willing to follow proper procedures. Comfortable working outside year-round in Iowa weather. Willing to do physical, hands-on work and stay active throughout the workday. Work Environment This is primarily an outdoor position in an equipment yard. The Yard & Equipment Specialist will work around forklifts, heavy equipment, semi-trucks, dirt, dust, noise, and the elements. Because we're in Iowa, the job requires someone who is comfortable working in hot summers, cold winters, rain, snow, wind, and changing weather conditions. Physical Requirements This is a physically active position that requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, stoop, climb, and reach. Get in and out of equipment. Move around the yard throughout the workday. Safely operate forklifts and other equipment. Work outdoors for extended periods of time.
