Physical Certification Full Job Description Southwest Suburbs drivers: dedicated reefer freight, home every week, pay that climbs every year. A dedicated reefer account out of Chicago with mostly drop and hook loads and home time once a week. New CDL grads are trained on it. What you earn Paid every week during training About $1,400 a week $0.60 a mile to start, $0.61 at 7 months, $0.62 at 14 months, then +$0.01 a year up to $0.70 About 2,500 miles a week $25 stop pay Weekly direct deposit Your week Dedicated reefer lanes across Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Drop and hook, live loads, live unloads and preloads. Day and night dispatch. Home once a week for your 34-hour reset. What new drivers ask us "How often will I see home?" Once a week, for your 34-hour reset. "I am not good at backing yet." Nobody is on day one. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you drive alone. "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes. "Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired. What happens after you apply A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing, logs, fueling and trip planning, and you are paid every week while you learn. When you are ready, you get your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average.
