Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking experienced CDL Class A drivers (3) for daily freight operations throughout the Greater Chicagoland area. Most routes operate within a 100-mile local radius, supporting home-daily schedules and potential ELD exemption eligibility. Typical shifts range from 10-12 hours. Start times range from 10am, 2pm, and 5pm (part-time). Start time will be around the same time daily. As a CDL Class A Local Truck Driver, you will operate across the Chicagoland region, delivering freight safely and efficiently on a variety of local routes. This role plays a key part in our logistics operation, ensuring timely deliveries while upholding strong standards of safety, professionalism, and reliability. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drive route-specific deliveries within the Chicagoland area, adhering to schedules and traffic laws. Manage delivery documentation accurately and complete all necessary logs and reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries. Maintain a clean driving record and uphold safety protocols at all times during operations. Input into Samsara Telematics Experience 2 years of experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL Class A license. Familiarity with route driving within urban environments such as Chicagoland is highly desirable. Knowledge of load & unload procedures and securing freight for transport. Ability to handle various types of freight and routes Strong commitment to safety standards and DOT compliance throughout all aspects of driving and cargo handling.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
