miles × $0.68 per mile = $1,958.40 10 qualifying stops = $250.00 Total weekly compensation = $2,208.40 Even when calculated across five complete 14-hour DOT duty windows, this equals approximately $31.55 per hour in equivalent earnings. This comparison is provided to help applicants understand the overall value of mileage-based compensation. Drivers are primarily paid by mileage—not by an hourly base rate. Actual mileage, routes, hours and earnings will vary.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Established Midwest customer lanes Consistent dry-van and reefer freight Primarily no-touch freight Weekly home time Direct communication with our Danville dispatch team Dispatch planning focused on productive miles Opportunities to advance into premium and dedicated assignments
EXPERIENCED DISPATCH AND HOURS-OF-SERVICE SUPPORT
Youhas Trucking operates primarily local and regional freight—not traditional OTR freight that keeps drivers away from home for weeks. Our dispatch team understands how to plan regional freight around FMCSA Hours-of-Service requirements. When the driver, route and circumstances legally qualify, Youhas Trucking permits and supports the proper use of: The 16-hour short-haul exception for eligible drivers when an unexpected disruption affects the workday The adverse-driving-conditions exception for qualifying unforeseen road or weather conditions Properly recorded yard moves at eligible customer and company locations Required Samsara ELD annotations and supporting documentation These provisions never authorize a driver to exceed applicable driving or weekly limits. They are used properly to prevent qualified drivers from unnecessarily losing productive time.
EQUIPMENT AND DRIVER SUPPORT
Sleeper tractors Automatic and manual-transmission equipment Company-maintained tractors and trailers Samsara ELD and fleet technology Company-supported navigation Company fuel application Pet rider program Passenger ride-along program
DEDICATED ROUTE OPPORTUNITIES
Reliable regional drivers may advance into premium or dedicated assignments as openings become available. Dedicated assignments are based on safety, performance, reliability, communication, availability, equipment qualifications and customer needs. New drivers should expect to begin with regional freight unless hired for a specific dedicated opening.
HEALTH COVERAGE ASSISTANCE
Drivers may work directly with an independent licensed health insurance agent who can review available individual health-coverage options and assist with obtaining coverage. This is not a company-sponsored group health plan. Eligibility, premiums, coverage and plan selection are handled directly between the driver and the independent agent or insurance provider.
