Job Description
Job Summary:
We are grain farm seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various destinations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our products. We primarily haul grain for our farm and local elevators.Duties:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including hopper bottoms and dump trailers
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Proficient in route driving and navigating various locations
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Experience with automotive repair is preferred
Skills:
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with appropriate endorsements
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to load and unload cargo using proper techniques
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for transporting hazardous materials
