Job Description
A Yard Waste Driver is responsible for safely operating specialized vehicles to collect and transport yard waste materials from residential or commercial locations to designated disposal sites. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, efficient driving, and excellent customer service skills. Reports To Operations Supervisor Safely operate and maintain specialized yard waste collection vehicles, such as trucks or trailers equipped with hydraulic lifts or chippers. Plan efficient routes to collect yard waste materials from designated areas, ensuring timely and accurate pickups. Safely load yard waste materials onto the collection vehicle using appropriate equipment, and ensure secure transport to disposal sites. Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and injuries. Provide courteous and professional service to customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding yard waste collection. Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles, report any mechanical issues, and coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs. Maintain accurate records of collected yard waste, routes, and any incidents or accidents during operations.
