Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks and personal vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries within designated routes. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards to maintain safety on the road. Use mobile devices and route navigation tools to plan efficient delivery routes and update delivery statuses in real-time. Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly, answering customer questions politely, and obtaining signatures when required. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow all warehouse operations procedures when handling shipments, including manual handling, moving packages, and utilizing material handling equipment safely. Requirements Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and customer service skills. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience with commercial truck driving is a plus. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles such as box trucks or similar heavy-duty equipment. Physical ability to lift heavy packages safely, often requiring manual handling skills and adherence to safe lifting practices. Experience with load & unload procedures using equipment like pallet jacks or material handling tools. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices on public roads. Comfortable working independently while maintaining excellent communication with team members via mobile devices. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including moving items around the warehouse or delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
