CDL Truck Driver (Class A)

Full-time (W-2 Employee) Job Overview We are looking for a reliable Class A CDL driver to join our team. You will be handling a mix of flatbed, box trailer, and possibly lowboy loads depending on experience. This is a local and regional role but you will be home most nights. Loads include a variety of freight, from construction and agricultural machinery, construction material, lumber and food oil. Pay Structure:
Hourly, Starting at $25 or more an hour depending on experience.

Overnights:
Home most nights.
Training:
One to two weeks of training.

Gain experience in hauling larger equipment Qualifications & Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and company standards:
Licensing:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), no automatic restrictions.
Experience:
Must meet insurance-mandated minimum age (25) and experience requirements (2 years).
Safety Record:
A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) from every state where a license was held in the last 3 years.
Medical:
Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (must be listed on the National Registry).
History:
Complete employment history on the application, including all commercial driving experience and accident history.
Professionalism:
Upkeep clean truck, and appearance for professionalism.
Flexibility:
Able to go over the road and regional when needed.
Ability:
No lift restriction for chaining and strapping
Location:
Trucks are required to be at company office when not in operation.
Preferred:
Flatbed experience, oversize/overweight experience, various machinery operation experience, tanker endorsement Compliance & Onboarding N&Z Richardson Trucking maintains a DOT audit ready environment. All candidates must complete the following during the onboarding process:
Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse:
Must provide consent for a full query in the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
Drug Testing:
Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test and participate in a random drug testing pool provided by employer.
Background Check:
Previous employer safety performance history verification for the last 3 years.
Road Test:
Successful completion of a company road test. Responsibilities Safely operate equipment and conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Upkeep daily logs and timesheets to accurately track Hours of Service (HOS). Maintain a Driver Qualification File (DQF) by providing updated medical physical cards and annual BMV Report. Adhere to all company safety policies and accident reporting procedures. Maintain professionalism with all customers. Wear appropriate PPE where required (provided).
